So, you might have noticed that the photo I shared yesterday of Henry Cavill and my son was cropped from another photo. We met both Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot on Sunday! The picture we have feels like 2 in 1. We have the photo with the five of us on our family gallery wall, and I plan on printing the cropped photo with just Liam and Henry too. I think I’ll frame it and hang it in Liam’s room.
Before I share the photo, I wanted to tell you more about the photo op at comic Con. We we’re scheduled for thr group one at 11am. Unfortunately, Henry and Gal were held up with something and they didn’t come until about 12pm. By the time it was our turn for the photo it was about 12:45pm. We reached security and they had us take off any jackets and bags we had on and to my surprise I was asked to remove my cardigan. I asked why and they said that it was requested by Gal Gadot that nobody wear cardigans in the photo. I have to admit I was slightly disappointed by this. My cardigan was a lot nicer than my plain white tee shirt. I’m not sure what Gal Gadot’s reasons were and security said they didn’t know either.
We were asked to walk right up to Henry and Gal and not to hug them or shake hands with them, and not to talk to them (crazy right?). They said the line needs to keep moving so just smile and walk to the right to exit. I don’t blame Henry and Gal for the rules. As I mentioned in my previous post, Henry engaged in conversation with my son right away. I did break the rules and hugged Gal Gadot. In retrospect, I wish I saved that for the end because I feel like I took her off guard slightly (nothing she said, just a feeling). She was still pleasant and smiled. Gal Gadot is truly beautiful (and tall too!).
After the photo, the security guard asked us to leave, but before I did, I shook Henry’s hand and told him it was so nice to meet him. He looked me in the eyes, smiled at me and said that it was very nice to meet you.
